Universal Service Rules Requirement for Supported Services

Hickory Telephone Company is a quality telecommunications services provider who provides basic and enhanced services at reasonable rates within its service territory.  Basic services are offered at the following rates: 

Single Party Residence Service - $20.00/mo.

Single Party Business Service - $23.42/mo.

Federal Subscriber Line Charge-Single Line - $6.50/mo.

Federal Subscriber Line Charge-Multi Business - $9.20/mo.

Directory Assistance - $0.90

Toll Blocking - Available at no charge for low-income customers that qualify.

Emergency 911 Service - Surcharges for 911 services assessed according to government assessment.

Low-income individuals eligible for Lifeline telephone assistance program may be eligible for discounts from these basic service charges through state specified telephone assistance plans.
